With all the many types of personal coaches everywhere—coaches for business for career for spiritual growth for finances for dealing with specific family issues—it’s no surprise that one of the most popular types is the relationship coach. I’ve met several such specialists in my life-coach networking and some have been impressive. The not-so-impressive ones undergo been former friends and acquaintances who’ve decided that all their undergo with dating and four failed marriages qualifies them to be good relationship coaches. Back in late June while networking with other coaches. I met a relationship coach from the Southwest. She gives regional conferences and workshops on finding the right partner and it’s in an upbeat emotionally healthy way. Our professional conversation dipped briefly into the personal realm as she asked me some pointed questions about my love life. Then she complimented me telling me that she didn’t intend to offer me her services since I knew who I was and what I wanted and that I’m already at the same point she wants to get her clients to. That made me feel smile. Perhaps because of several nice conversations with her and my consider for the work she does—with or without her compliments--I was more receptive than ever to a local “relationship counselor.” This person’s company had been recommended to me and I shrugged off the recommendation. The introduction came up twice again. I was given a phone number to call for an appointment and I squirmed about it for about half an hour. Was that really what I wanted to do? But I decided to be open to it. After all though my colleague hadn’t worked with me specifically. I’d picked up some interesting tips just listening to her including:- Always celebrate your furnish’s good news and if you can’t understand why the hell they’re so happy about something or why they think their news is good ask them about it so you’ll better understand them as well as showing you’re emotionally supportive.- To grow your relationship intend an experimental weekend where there’ll be some complications and see how you each respond to compel and how to work out issues when you’re both very willing to sight solutions and figure out how you mesh together.- cognise that you probably show your affections differently and understand those ways so that you’re not pissed off that they never write you love songs or poetry desire you do for them especially when their way of showing affection.

I'm a wife and care of four a writer doula psychologist.. let's see.. how many more hats can I get on my head here? :) We just moved from the city to the country and we've got two dogs two cats. 6 acres and I'm planning to own chickens by next move.. that's alter chickens. And I'm going to go away my own organic tend. Uh huh. Yes. I am! This from a city girl who adores indoor plumbing detests dirt goes catatonic at the sight of spiders and thinks all bugs should be banned.. should be interesting huh!? When we lived in the suburbs the kids played only in the backyard because we lived on a pretty work street. The cars flew drink our street (and we had a educate right across from us!) We had one of those go capture things on our street practically once a month. Cops pulled people over all the time for speeding. But people comfort did it anyway. Out here though while we have less vehicles people actually go FASTER. Less merchandise more speed. They also don't stop at stop signs. Especially at night. They turn off their lights as they're coming to a stop write and if they don't see lights coming the other way? come up they just act going! But even during the day they go fast. And don't desire to stop. And everyone out here owns a truck. So we're not talking little cars. These are BIG cars. One of these meets a five year old in the lay of an intersection and it's just over. In fact enormous do work vehicles go drink our street at least once a day. And when I say enormous... I convey desire bigger than elephants. desire two elephants maybe. I don't change surface know what these things are and definitely don't know what they do. I just know they're big they're loud and they go pretty darned fast for being so huge! There's no sidewalks the dirt roads are narrow and I worry about the little ones making it home without going into the road. So I drive three houses down to the stop write at the corner to choose them up. I know how pathetic is that? I don't even walk... I DRIVE! I walked the first day thinking I would teach them to go home.. but when Dmitri ran across the street to pet the neighbor's dog and Zoe tripped over a channelise branch and fell into the road. I decided it wasn't the beat idea in the world to let them walk yet. Only I never experience when the bus is going to come for sure. They said at the school office the bus would be by at 3:30 p m. But I waited and waited and they didn't show up until almost four! After a week of waiting there starting at 3:30 and waiting at least until 3:45 p m for the bus to show up. I finally started leaving later and getting there around 3:40. That seemed to bring home the bacon just fine. So yesterday. I pulled up and the bus was waiting there. At 3:40. arouse. My time gauge was clearly not working. So today. I left just a little bit earlier. When I pulled out into the road. I saw a bus in my rearview reflect. Which I thought was weird.. because no educate busses go drink our road that I've ever seen? When I pulled over the bus pulled up next to my van and sure enough.. it was the kids' bus. "We didn't have anyone else to drop off today," the bus driver said pointing to the cross street. "So I was going to drop them in front of your house." So I drove home (three whole houses) and stopped to choose up the mail (still in my car... I know I know how lazy AM I right?) where I found the back up sight that the post office had attempted to mouth a case registered mail from India (it's from Bookmooch) but I "wasn't home to accept it." Out here when there's a package the postal carrier drives her transport up our driveway.. and honks. She waits until I go out (so she doesn't undergo to get out of the transport.. see everyone out here is just as lazy as I am!) and then hands me the package and the be of my send. But I didn't comprehend anyone honk today? The only thing I can imagine happened is she dropped off the mail and the notice in the scarce five minutes that I was down at the corner ushering kids into the car? Or.. she shunted into another mark to deliver the mail? Either way the timing today just sucked!

"Actions speak louder then words" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-27 20:30:29

This is a post that a lodge brother and old friend sent me about what he feels is important in masonry. Brother Tom has a huge heart and uses it often. There is a difference between being a mason and living masonry. Brother Tom does both. I would suggest we consider his words the next measure we're arguing over minutes or wasting time on bills. Masonry should be about what masons do not what masons say."One of the things that I would change about Freemasonry is our level of community involvement. All to often it seems like when a brother first enters the Fraternity there is a lot of communicate about how we give so much money away. Now I’m not disputing this but I evaluate as a whole each lodge should and could do more. For example what’s to stop each express from having an annual or monthly dope kitchen run. We could assign certain members of each lodge to donate their time once a month for a period of 4 hours to help run a soup kitchen. We could do things like this and many other activities. For example it’s not just donating money that allows “Masons to help make men better ” Time is also a valuable asset. Many of us can donate time at the Shiner’s hospitals by just reading educating and entertaining the kids that are in the hospital. I would gladly be willing to put more of my time doing something like rather then waiting in lodge to hear the minutes read. There is also a lot of preparatory work that can be done on nights where we have meetings. In our dwell we have an event called eat with Santa for the kids. Every year there are two of our lodge members slaving away the night before wrapping present for hours? Why? Why not undergo the whole lodge help out after the Stated Communication and cover a couple of presents. Our members are there why not put them to work. We could back up create a phone-athon wherein we label other masons and family members to see if they would donate money for one of the many walk-athons. We could act on behalf of companies such as Habitat for Humanity. UNICEF or even help our own circle of brothers like the Shiners Hospitals. We should be calling up big fortune 500 companies and small ones and getting them to donate time money or both. When you ask people about community function many say they would love to perform some but often never go through with it for two reasons. One of the cerebrate is people have never been shown the harsh reality that some people undergo such as elders eating cat food because it’s cheaper. back up people are a bit intimidated by the fact that they don’t experience how they can help. Just imagine for a minute if we could dress our dwell dues to also consider 12 hours of community service every year. That is just one hour a month. The lodge I currently belong to has 110 members that are dues-paying members. So if those 110 members did 12 hours of service each that would leave you with 33 weeks of 40-hour community function workweeks. We also share the same building with another dwell. If we teamed up it would amount to over one year of 40-hour community function workweeks. It’s one thing to say. “making good men exceed”; and another thing to see it put in challenge. I understand that we must undergo ritual work and stated communications. I’m not disputing that. But I would much rather put some energy and effort into feeling as if I’m making a difference in the community rather then have to sit and comprehend to minutes construe and people arguing over insignificant details. What really bothers me is that we say we are so great and that we do all these great things. We do give a lot to in comparison to most. However. I evaluate on the local aim there are a ton of things that we can do with very little change. But it all starts with our ability to put these plans in actions rather then sit and mouth about minutes from the measure meeting. My dwell’s Fellowcraft Club has a game night about once every other month. What’s to stop us from having these bet nights at hospices or other community centers where we can interact with our elders? In high educate I used to get educate during my study hall just to visit a local elderly care place. I often would be the only visitor some of these people would see for months. In closing I’m not saying that we should denounce our current system. I just would like it if we did less talking and more action. It shouldn’t take us 30 minutes of arguing to deciding the condiments at a family and friends BBQ. Instead if we should put those 30 minutes to good use. We could spend that time creating something positive and avoid situations were two members are stuck wrapping presents for hours."Brother Thomas HardySo mote it be! First and foremost. I am a know Mason and proud of it! I have served Adelphi Momauguin dwell #63 twice as it's Worshipful know being the youngest WM in my lodge's history at 25. This year I was appointed to the lay of govern Lecturer for Masonic govern 4 in Connecticut my first Grand dwell appointment. I am also a member of the Scottish Rite and received the Meritorious Service Award in June 2007. In May 2007. I received my BS in Physics with a concentration in Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics. Therefore if my writing sounds robotic. I will naturally blame my science education ;)I was lucky enough to marry my beat friend and love of my life in June 2005. Illa and I undergo two cats. "Websites 101: Making Your Website Findable" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-23 16:15:14

I’ve got a website (two actually). You’ve got a website. Everybody ‘cept Granny has a website. But have you ever asked why? There are a lot of good reasons to have an organizational website. It has change state a requirement of a serious business replacing the once-ubiquitous yellow pages ad with a colorful ever-changing multimedia extravaganza. That’s the website furnish lie: We exist. But there are many more reasons to have a website and a good website can be a tremendous booster for your organizations. I’ll adjoin the basics quickly then communicate about a few advanced techniques that can really improve the ROI on your website. There are two main issues relating to a successful website: getting people to it and keeping them there. In this article. I’m talking about how to get people to your website. In a later one. I’ll talk about keeping them there what is called the “stickiness” of the site. Like the lie page of a newspaper your website needs to consider the A menu that is obvious and takes people where they want to go as quickly as possible. Don’t get too cute with the menu. Especially as the population of over-40’s increases you be a menu that is easy to sight and not challenging to use. The place navigation is based on a logical and shallow hierarchy of information and pages so that it is quickly apparent how to find things. Try to alter your site organization shallow – more wide than deep. By that. I convey that you don’t want to build a site that forces a user to click after click after move after click to sight what she wants. Many rich sites are only three or four clicks deep. To create a shallow place make your second levels large and scalable. For example you may undergo only two programs now but your programs page could have room for ten. Have a site search answer. Google offers a free site search widget as do several other companies. You can create the look and limit search to your place or the entire internet. Having a examine function makes it really easy for visitors to sight a name date displace or other bit of information that could act hours to find any other way. Having a examine box is just being a good neighbor. Finally site navigations should always consider a site map detailed to at least the second aim of your site. I accept that a site map should give a primary navigation for visitors who be to go directly to a bit of information. A place map to the third level ordain adjoin a lot of pages and enable quick navigation. Once you build a website with all of the five W’s and good navigation your basic internet version of the yellow pages ad you may have looked at it and thought. “We still undergo infinite room. How do we fill it?” This is when the “Why?” question must be faced. Ideally you addressed “why” before you started. But it is better to undergo your internet shingle hung out than not to exist in cyberspace. Let’s communicate about “why” now. By “why”. I convey what do you want your website to do for the organization? We have the basic function: we exist. Now you can use your website to fulfill a be of missions of different sorts. Here are a some of the most frequently seen: People flock to nonprofits for the communities that form around them. Make it easy for your community to meet and talk by including Web 2.0 features like a video upload section blogs text communicate delivery podcasts and other items your community will find useful. People have questions and suggestions. To give them quick answers you provide a FAQ a summon of Frequently Asked Questions and their answers. To back up visitors sight people add a complete list of staff and give email links and/or phone numbers. Also give a communicate/feedback form that makes it easy for visitors to get in touch with you. Most importantly most organizations undergo a program of activities in which visitor can act. A detailed explanation of what your schedule comprises including when and where it occurs who it is best suited for what it costs and why people should be. (There’s those five W’s again.) What should the home summon of our website include? What should it look desire? Those are among the most asked questions whenever I back up people work on their websites. Everybody has an idea everybody wants to put the most important programs front and bear on. What makes this a real conundrum is that there is seldom an easy answer to this challenge. There are crowded websites desire Craig’s enumerate and Idealist org that undergo every advance covered with text or pictures. Those are desire an airport once you enter the gate you have many destination options. Other sites make more use of white space and direct your eyes to a few very important words or images. Google’s place is an extreme example of this. There is no good rule for deciding how much goes on your home page object say what you be to say.

"Over 40 Ways to Reduce Your Grocery Bill" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-17 15:18:36

I am not a financial advisor. This communicate is a reflection of my personal opinion experience and financial choices. For financial assistance please ask a licensed financial services professional. procure &write; 2007 After spending over $400/month on FOOD in September - for two people - I felt defeated and turned to my fabulous readers for help. Based on here are multiple ways to decrease your grocery bill: In the comments. I listed. But from the looks of THIS enumerate there's obviously a lot room for improvement. Thanks to all who shared many helpful ideas!~*~*~*~*~*~bring home the bacon to achieve not to change. And as always. BE FABULOUS! thanks for condensing this for all of us! i'm sure there's something i can hit the books here and hit ma i can relate to not having a lot of storage lay for bulge products especially meat in bulge which can be a great bargain if you have a deep freezer to put it in however the more staples you can act the less often you have to shop for anything besides bear bread and milk and the less you shop the less you're tempted. One more thing since most of the things I buy are generic or on sale anyway and I use the hold on's reject card. I sight coupon hunting to be a waste of time. hit Ma:This post came in handy for me. I just purchased a home and the main thing I told my son we ordain do after we move is to cut the fast food down to one meal a month (yeah. I experience). For one. I'm getting fat and in a not-so-cute way and my son well let's just say he got it from his momma.. lol. So we both don't be to be eating out!Well in request to accomplish that goal. I've decided to create from raw material more often especially since the new home came with a gas stove (I'll never do electric again). My tip:Go grocery shopping on Sunday (coupon day) and cook all the meals for the week. This way there's no need to buy pre-packaged food. Instead act your own "packaged" meals that you can just pop in the microwave. I went from spending $7-10 per day or $35-50/week just for lunch in addition to groceries $50-60/for two people at ALDI's (if they have one in your area gratify try them) to just my grocery expense. With the savings. I'm going to try and give my sparse new home:)I hope this helps. I have some ideas but I do not live in the US. Buy ingredients and pay attention to quality as well as be up how to act them in good condition. I inform cooking to visiting Americans and I am amazed at what they think they should throw away-- often the most flavorful part! For the tight evenings when you are tempted to order in or go out know some really fast and tasty ethnic dishes that you can put together in less measure than you would pay waiting or getting to the local abstain food outlet. Every culture has them. Remember most ethnic cuisines began in times when there were no stoves at all. Here are some examples from my cuisine: flour tortilla you keep frozen thrown into a big dry frying pan heated on one side then the other. When heating the second side lay slices of cheese veg that are good raw like onion tomato maybe some dry aid olives you've pitted. Put the stuff on 1/2 the tortilla. When the back up side is toasty fold and serve. change integrity and answer while you cook the second one. This is piadina. Pasta sauces eaten here are often cooked in the amount of time it takes to create from raw material the pasta-- Italian women work too and they put 3 to 4 courses on the table for the main meal-- my stand by is oil onion bacon canned tomato and cease over the top. It takes 10-12 minutes and tastes great. There must be thousands of recipes that work that way. Buy a measure and measure portions before cooking them. Sounds hard but once you've done it a few times you can SEE how much is 100 grams of pasta or meat. Cook only the recommended administer per person and you won't get fat and you won't expend food. I even change integrity meat as it enters the house into proper portions then cover and stand still them. Coming in starving can make you impel the whole durned thing into the pan. To me olive oil is not overpriced because it tastes wonderful and is good for you. Just use less or use it at the alter point in the prep. Good tips. I generally have a calculator with me; if not. I add as I go rounding everything up to.50 or 1.00. I tend to stock up on staples then hit the store weekly for other things. I undergo to be careful with cooking in go.. cooking it in go doesn't always ingeminate to eating it. :O) ha.. I picked up a few more tips!!! thanks for the compilation ma!!!someone mentioned something I do. is whenever I buy meat.. I season it all at the same measure. take it out that morning so its defrosted by the measure I get domiciliate LOLthe ramen noodles tip LOL @ if you love your heart. u can still use the noodles. just not the package of whatever that is. that makes it so high in sodium.. I use the noodles. and then add veggies and meat for a *lo mein* :) LOL.. I mean seriously getting a 12 pack of those noodles for.99 is a lot cheaper than buying pasta all the time :) This is.
