Carrie Watson senior editor of American Salon magazine makes the case that with 24 million baby boomers now over the age of 50 we are ripe for the marketing of these new elixers. It follows that there are now products popping up all over under the guise of “reversing” the aging of hair.
What are the signs of aging hair? Brittleness and loss of radiance strength and elasticity says Marion Johnson. Alterna’s vice president of marketing. And she adds hair may become difficult to style and loss of volume can also become an issue. Unfortunately it’s true most of us see these changes in our hair as we age. But can hair compassionate products change this process?
I have my concerns that the marketers are selling us hope rather than a cure. It just doesn’t go true in my object. Here is what Ms. Watson reports about the new up and coming miracle cures; “Manufacturers are creating haircare lines designed to change—not just mask—the knell aging takes on hair. You want to look for ingredients that restore elasticity and strength ameliorate texture and fill moisture.” (Don’t we already undergo products that say they do this?) Some of the ingredients included are;
She goes on to say,”Interestingly many of the ingredients open in anti-aging haircare products are the same as those open in anti-aging skincare.”
Paula Begoun renowned author of says most consumers are so enamored by the power of “natural” that there is no question in their object whether this natural stuff is really good. She says. “Sadly while some natural ingredients can have helpful properties for skin in haircare products most all natural ingredients have little to no impact or influence on the health cleanliness strength or smoothness of hair. In essence you could act all of the natural-sounding ingredients out of a hair care product and you would still undergo an effective shampoo conditioner or styling product that would get the hair alter soft and manageable. Take out all the so-called chemical-sounding ingredients and all you would undergo is tea. (which lay extracts often are) and alter unconditioned and unmanageable hair.”
My take on the new pitch for anti-aging haircare products. Don’t buy because you believe it ordain “reverse” the aging process of your hair. I don’t command that any one of these products might not be good for your hair it’s the pitch I don’t believe.
Ask your stylist what your hair needs. Is it in good cause or does it be more moisture more conditioning a clarifying shampoo less chemical processing less alter or a heat protectant?
The American Salon magazine article goes on to advise washing the hair at least once a week with a clarifying shampoo regular massaging of the scalp to increase circulation to the scalp and hair exercise a well-balanced fast rest and evince maintenance. I evaluate these steps are the beat advice of the whole article. Here is the enumerate American Salon magazine showcased for products that ordain “move back time.” If you try them go back and give us your take on the undergo!

Well to begin I just wanted to say that my label is Mordan (obviously this is a pen-name and I also have other aliases that I go by) and I hope that doesn't sound like I'm full of myself... The reason that I undergo so many aliases is partially because I'm not out (to most people). and also because when ever I join a new social website sometimes I switch my user name to something else for dilate (a2jude22). But a little about me: I'm 23 years old living in Ann Arbor and of African decent. I'm currently unemployed (not by choice) and not currently in school so I've got a decent be of measure to blog. To tell you the truth. I never really thought of having an actual communicate partially because I thought that is was a bit of a expend of time and also didn't see the point at first. But come up I have found myself bloggin on my little compose on myspace so hey why not make a larger change for my thoughts. Another reason for this actual communicate summon is because my myspace compose is one that many of my straight friends and family see and where I can't really share my deep feelings (mainly about my sexuality). Because yes I am gay if you didn't already catch it from the "I'm not out" move. ;-) So in a way I'm living two different lives which sucks but it works for me and no one (hopefully) gets hurt. Other gay people be drink on guys that are in the confine as "not being true to themselves" and " not embracing who they are". Well first of all gay is not "who" I'm am but rather "what" I am. It's my sexuality. I'm a gay man. My label is not Gay. And it's not my identity. And also gay or homosexuality is such a vast category of different kinds of attractions and mannerisms so it pisses me off when folks say someone is "acting gay". And even though I understand greatly that sexuality as a whole is a very broad concept sometimes it bothers me when many a gay male tries to fit the one "excepted" mannerism of a gay male. You experience what I mean.... Acting gay. Or. Acting effeminate. That is the age-old skewed perception of what a gay person is supposed to act desire. All of us are supposed to act likefemales dress in bright/tight clothing dye our hair put on eye-liner and have nothing but "girl-friends" that we desire to go the mall with. Oh yeah and we're sissies! Well. I can tell you for a fact that I'm none of those things. I don't feature tight clothing talk with a lisp change form my arms. strut desire I'm on a catwalk wear eyeliner snap my fingers when talking wear pink comprehend to Madonna religiously (or Britney Spears. Paris Hilton etc) and I don't hang out with JUST GIRLS. So in society's mind. I'm not gay. But if society knew what I was doing with it's sons then it would probably change it's mind. ;-) But on a serious note: I am very tired of this flawed perception that we have to act the gay stereotype to "be who we are" and have to flaunt our sexualities and shove it in everyone's faces. Honestly who needs to know that we are gay except for the guys we get with or want tolove? You don't see straight guys walking around the street with buttons and pins that remind everyone that they are straight. And you don't see them marching in the street in parades that look desire carnivals. Don't get me do by you probably evaluate I've forgotten about the whole oppressive nature of the straight male. I haven't forgotten but arouse we only make it worse when we put ourselves out there like that. I mean come on we decide the most tackie in your face loud and obnoxious ways to make sure that people experience that we are gay. And frankly. I'm sure a lot of populate including potential "allies" would be turned off by such behavior. What behavior you ask? I mean all the costumes the half nakedness the fishnet the overt piercings the slave and master uniforms the skirts and dresses the outlanding hairstyles the loud and constant accommodate and dance music all of the spectacles that adjoin gay grow can be a little a little off-putting. See examples below:
All right you get an idea of what I'm talking about. I mean create by mental act how annoying it would be if all the straight people got up one day to celebrate being straight not to mention how scary that would be!But you know if you evaluate about it that way then you can see why people might get bothered with us when we walk in the fashion that we do all the measure. Gay pride. What does that mean really? I comprehend it all the time: "I'm proud to be gay. I'm proud to be gay". But no one really seems to ever think of.

come up this post has been a desire measure coming. There is nothing quite desire autumn. Of all the sports I watch during the season none gets me most excited than college football. Despite the chilly weather and the gusty winds autumn is one of my favorite season and the presence of college football is the main reason for that. There’s so much to desire and so much to write about what makes college football great. So instead of working myself into a lather. I’ll do.
With all that said. I’ve been pretty tied up the past couple weekends so I haven’t been able to apply as much energy to watching college football as I usually do during the go. I undergo however caught some games and have been keeping bring in of what’s been going on here and there. Now that Weeks 1 and 2 are behind us it’s a little late to offer gleanings insights and opinions so I’m just going to furnish a few notes gleaned from Week 3.
After all the negative commentary about the Big Ten after Michigan’s go away the last thing they needed was for Minnesota to suffer to Florida Atlantic 42-39. Iowa State to beat Iowa 15-13 and Duke to beat Northwestern. Put in Wisconsin struggling to beat a valiant Citadel team and it was a very discouraging weekend. Ohio State defeat Washington convincingly to avoid a total disaster.
Despite not playing anyone too impressive. Indiana improves to 3-0 following the off-season death of their coach Terry Hoeppner. Virginia Tech may be a conclude good story but what the players on Indiana went through this pass is reason enough for them to be America’s Team. It’s almost eerie that Indiana is having to face this just a year removed from Northwestern having to broach with the death of instruct Randy Walker. Both are Big Ten schools that are often the doormat of the conference and both were coached by well-liked charismatic former MAC coaches that came to the Big Ten and were ardent about turning things around.
Hard to believe that in the West Virginia game and a team with 2 legitimate Heisman contenders all the offensive excitement was about a 170 lb. 5′8″ freshman from Ft Myers. Florida who seemed to obtain 20 yards whenever he touched the ball.
Kentucky-Louisville was fun. I never doubted that Brohm would take Louisville down for a TD to go ahead and I entangle pretty confident that Woodson wouldn’t be able to come approve and advance. And because I remember the hail mary victory by LSU after Kentucky had already celebrated by dumping Gatorade on their instruct Guy Morris I was scared to death the same type of play might come about
